Bugema University’s Alumnus and Community Contribution

Job creation testimonies Bugema University Alumnae
Mr. Mugabi Enoch graduated in 1999 from Bugema University with a double major in Business Administration; Management and Marketing. He is now an entrepreneur in the heart of Kampala City on Jumbo Plaza, Kampala Road with two registered companies, namely: DOCU WIDE Uganda Ltd and Computer Shopping Centre on Nkurumah road.
Both of these companies are IT- based offering services like architectural work, selling computers and office equipment and repair, and graphics among others.

While at Bugema University, his group wrote a proposal as part of their class work project which got funding; this kick- started his career as a proposal writer. He also took part in the work program at Bugema University, working at the farm; this motivated him to start his own company after leaving Bugema University. He is currently employing 25 individuals in both of his companies.
He says that the rich curriculum of Bugema University exposed him to entrepreneurial skills like farming, proposal writing; above all, the high spiritual values that he got have enabled him to live morally. Mr Mugabi highly recommends Bugema University to all those who want to be empowered to become job creators rather than job seekers.

Alumnus, Thembo Eriab: The author of Intensive English Language for Secondary Schools the first edition 2007 and second edition 2009. His books have been used widely by Secondary Schools in South Western Uganda.

Bugema University is a place, where objectivity and transparency are expressed by faculty, staff and students.  All denominations are represented at Bugema University and the students and staff are encouraged to attend their respective places of worship.
Even though away from hustles and bustles of city life, it is cosmopolitan in nature with students from sixteen different countries. At Bugema, one witnesses an intermarriage of cultures and traditions. This integration helps us adopt a new culture- a culture which considers integrity and excellence as its basic ingredients
